Guitars International is honored to offer to its customers the beautiful handcrafted classical and flamenco guitars of German Vazquez Rubio (also sometimes referred to as G.V. Rubio, German V. Rubio, German Rubio and German Vazquez).
This is a magnificent innovative concert guitar. Its sound is powerful, warm, round, harmonically rich yet controlled and very focused. Due in part to its internal cedar/Brazilian back lamination and arched soundboard construction, this instrument has substantially greater projection, depth and complexity of sound, is even smoother note to note, and a little more open than Vazquez Rubio's standard Torres Model: Superb quality of sound in line with the greatest Old World masters, contemporary reserves of power, and this award winning maker's exceptionally wide color pallete make this handcrafted work of art one of the most impressive new concert guitars it has been our pleasure to play or hear - a fantastic value, competitive with instruments priced many thousands of dollars more.
Materials: Old, dark brown master grade Br. sides and back, double back construction (cedar laminate on the inside of the back provides additional warmth, depth and smoothness of sound) European spr. soundboard, Brazilian rosewood bindings, immaculate French polish of shellac finish, Rodgers precision tuning machine heads (the finest in the world) with engraved brass sideplates and mother of pearl oval buttons, 650mm string length, TKL double arched hardshell case, Galli Genius Strings.
